This smoothie doubles as your morning caffeine fix and a satisfying breakfast. It's the combo of 2 of my favorite things: iced coffee + creamy smoothies and is such a great way to start the day. This smoothie is particularly perfect on mornings when you're on-the-go and don't have time to drink your coffee and eat your breakfast. It bundles all of your morning necessities into one delicious smoothie - your coffee fix + a balanced blend with a serving of fruit, healthy fat and protein! I also love that this smoothie is packed with antioxidants from the coffee and the cacao powder. I highly recommend adding this recipe to your smoothie and breakfast rotation ASAP. Enjoy!
Ingredients
*Makes 1 smoothie
1 frozen banana
1/2 - 1 tbsp Cacao powder (I like the Navitas Organic brand)
1/2 cup cold brew coffee
½ - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or nut milk of choice (can add more or less depending on preferred texture)
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp peanut butter or nut/seed butter of choice
½ cup frozen cauliflower (can add more or less depending on preferred texture)
Optional protein additions: plant-based protein powder, collagen powder, plain Greek yogurt
Directions
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Top with cinnamon, serve immediately and enjoy!
